This course is provided by First Nursing Academy, which prepares students to:

  • Care for patients in a home environment instead of in a hospital or a medical center setting.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to patients by meeting their needs and requirements for healthy bodily and emotional functioning.
  • Acquire basic medical skills, such as administering patients upon doctors’ instructions, recording medical information and taking notes regarding patients’ conditions.
  • Prevent and control infectious diseases in patients and manage them accordingly.
  • Learn basic safety techniques involving response in emergency situations.

First Nursing Academy provides classroom instructions, as well as, a formal training required to become a certified Home Health Aide (HHA). Along with formal training, students also need to demonstrate competency in the specified skills in advance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
